New Leadership for Africa Society in Washington, DC

The U.S.-based Africa Society has announced the selection of Ambassador Pamela E. Bridgewater as CEO and Chair of the Board and Patricia Baine as President. The announcement was made by the advocacy organization's longtime head, Bernadette Paolo, During a 'Commemoration and Engagement' held at the Ethiopian Embassy in Washington, DC on December 1, Noah Samara also annoiunced his departure as chairman after serving for 14 years. The evening included a tribute to Samara and honors to seven others for contributions to the Africa Society and the work it has pursued since the National Summit on Africa in 2000.

Pamela Bridgewater welcomes guests to the U.S. Embassy in Jamaica where she served as ambassador from 2010 to 2013.
