Power Project to Benefit Three East African Countries
The governments of Burundi, Rwanda and Tanzania jointly agreed on the Regional Rusumo Falls Hydroelectric Project, a power station which is fully funded by the World Bank and African Development Bank.
The Kagera River near Rusumo Falls forms part of the upper headwaters of the Nile River.
