Zambian Opposition Leader Hichilema Spends Birthday in Prison

In what could be the worst of ways to celebrate a birthday, opposition United Party for National Development leader Hakainde Hichilema has turned 55 while incarcerated. Accused of obstructing President Edgar Lungu's motorcade, Hichilema's imprisonment has undoubtedly left a dent in the otherwise respected image of political stability in Zambia.
