The army has claimed that the leader of Boko Haram militants, Abubakar Shekau, is in a terrible state of health. The army has repeatedly made contradictory claims on Shekau. Statements like Shekau had been killed or does not really exist have been made by the army in the past putting doubts in the minds of Nigerians.
