Nigerian President Fires Head of Niger Delta Amnesty Programme

President Muhammadu Buhari has sacked Paul Boroh as co-ordinator of Presidential Amnesty Programme and announced Professor Charles Dokubo as his successor. Buhari has also directed the National Security Adviser to carry out a full investigation into the activities of the programme from 2015 to date. The programme entitles each former militant to a monthly stipend and job training.
