President Cyril Ramaphosa has cancelled his investment-seeking drive, which he began during Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, to assess the violent protests in Mahikeng, where residents have been demanding jobs, better roads and other pressing service delivery issues. The protesters are also demanding the resignation of Premier Supra Mahumapelo who has been linked to the Gupta family who were named in the state of capture report by former public protector Thuli Madonsela.
