WHO Spearheads African Vaccination Week

An estimated 2.5 million children die annually from vaccine-preventable diseases, primarily in developing countries.With the theme Vaccinated Communities, Healthy Communities, the World Health Organization, together with various government agencies in countries like Tanzania, Nigeria, South Africa and South Sudan, has launched the vaccination campaign in Africa.Prominent natioal and panAfrican non-governmental organizations, such as Wellbeing Africa Foundation, are supporting the immunization drive and acting as implementation partners.
