Top Egyptian Club Coach Resigns After Defeat by Uganda

Kampala City Council Authority gunned down African giants Al Ahly 2-0 in their Group A clash in Kampala to pick up their first win at the mini-league stage of the CAF Champions League. The shocking result against the record eight-time champions from Egypt cost head coach Hossam El Badry his job, as he tendered in his resignation moments after the match.

KCCA custodian Charles Lukwago was in good nick with a handful of point blank saves. He saved Ebeid’s penalty in the 24th minute and there were several other nervous moments when he was forced out of the area to stop Mohamed Hussein and later Phakamani.
