Edwin Clark's home was raided by police who said they acted on a tip-off. Clark, a respected politican, worked in the administrations of military governor Samuel Ogbemudia and late head of state, General Yakubu Gowon between 1966 and 1975. He was also an unofficial adviser to former president Goodluck Jonathan. He is a philanthropist who founded the Edwin Clark Foundation and established a university in his hometown in Delta State.
