Biafra Leader Says He Ran for His Life, Vows to Return

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra Nnamdi Kanu, who is facing treason charges, says he is in Israel because he could not get the necessary protection from the court. Kanu has vowed to return to his homeland and called on his followers to boycott upcoming elections. There has been speculation about his whereabouts since his disappearance following a Nigerian army raid on his home on September 13, 2017.
