One in Three Nigerians Illiterate - Education Minister
Minister of Education Adamu Adamu says that Nigeria has about 60 million illiterate youths and adults - with females accounting for nearly 60% of this figure, while a total of 11 million children were out-of-school. The minister added that the low level of literacy skills of millions of learners who completed some formal school education, made the situation more complicated.
