Tanzanian Foreign Minister Says Journalist Azory Gwanda is Dead

Almost two years after Tanzanian freelance journalist Azory Gwanda went missing, the country's foreign minister, Palamagamba Kabudi, said in an interview that the journalist is dead. The Committee to Protect Journalists is calling on the government to provide a detailed public account of his fate. Gwanda went missing on November 21, 2017, after investigating mysterious killings and disappearances in his community.
