Rwanda Names Gorillas in 15th Traditional Ceremony
Rwandans, conservationists, celebrities and friends of Rwanda are heading to Kinigi in Northern Province to witness the naming of the 25 mountain baby gorillas in a traditional ceremony known as Kwita Izina. The tradition was first introduced in 2005 to highlight the importance of the conservation of the endangered mountain gorillas and recognize the role of those who have dedicated their work to conserve them.
