Forest for the Trees - Kenya Extends Logging Cut Off Date

The current ban was imposed in 2018 following a public outcry on excessive logging in public forests and it was supposed to end on November 24, 2019. Kenya is currently experiencing water deficit annually and this has been attributed to an alarming rate at which forest cover has been diminishing due to logging in the past.
