AfDB Rebuts World Bank President's Remarks on Africa Debt Profile

The African Development Bank (AfDB) is pushing back against comments made by the World Bank President David Malpass at a World Bank IMF debt forum in Washington DC on Monday. In his comments, the World Bank president said, the Asian Development Bank was "pushing billions of dollars" into a fiscally challenging situation in Pakistan, while the African Development Bank (AfDB) was doing the same in Nigeria and South Africa. Today, the African Development Bank responded to president Malpass's criticism as "inaccurate and not fact-based."
