Kenya: Government Bans Slaughter of Donkeys

The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries and Cooperatives has banned the slaughter of donkeys in the country. Read more »
The ban comes against a backdrop of dwindling donkey numbers following their theft by syndicates who sell them to slaughterhouses at the expense of citizens, according to Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya.
