Tanzanian Officials Keen On Mara River Water Plan

The main aim is to involve stakeholders to make the water allocation plan sustainable an official has said. The Mara River starts in the Mau forests on the Kenyan side, and flows through the Masai Mara Game Reserves and Serengeti National Park, before emptying into Lake Victoria in Tanzania. Apart from supporting wildlife conservation, Mara River is also a source of livelihood to around 1.1 million Tanzanians and Kenyans.
