Nigerian Musician Naira Marley Fined For Lockdown Concert
The controversial Afrobeats singer embarked on a interstate travel from Lagos to Abuja and back to Lagos for a musical concert. The event was in June when all non-essential travel was banned to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Last year, Naira Marley was in trouble for telling Nigerians to "pray for internet fraudsters" instead of condemning them. He then released his hit song, Am I A Yahoo Boy. He is also awaiting trial for a separate case of credit card fraud and if convicted he could face up to seven years in jail.
