UN Condemns Refugee Killings in Burkina Faso

The UN refugee agency has strongly condemned an October 4 attack on a convoy transporting internally displaced people, that left 25 dead and one seriously injured. Burkina Faso has seen a recent surge in violence that has claimed hundreds of lives and displaced thousands. Rights group had earlier accused security forces of executing at least 180 bodies of Fulanis in the northern town of Djibo whom they accused of bing in support of Islamist armed groups operating from the north.
