Kenya, Uganda Athletes Stun at World Half Marathon in Poland

Kenya's Peres Jepchirchir has won the World Half Marathon Championships title in yet another women's only world record of 1:05:16 in Gdynia, Poland. The 27-year-old, who failed to defend her title in 2018 after taking a maternity break, improved her own women's only half marathon world record by 18 seconds. Uganda's teenage sensation Jacob Kiplimo also stunned a rich field to win the World Half Marathon Championships gold in a new championship record of 58:49.
