Nigeria Big Wigs to Explain Oil Funds Missing From State Coffers

The House of Representatives has summoned the Group Managing Director of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Mele Kyari, and the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN Godwin Emefiele to explain the alleged non-remittance of U.S.$19.253 billion revenue accrued from sales of domestic crude oil in 2014. The revenue is supposed to be paid immediately and according to the office of the auditor general of the federation, there was no positive response on similar issues raised in 2012, writes Udora Orizu for This Day.
