Health Crisis on the Cards for Kenya as Doctors Go on Strike

Doctors have joined nurses and clinical officers in boycotting work, putting the nation at risk of a health crisis amid the Covid-19 pandemic. The strike action comes at a critical time as Covid-19 infections are expected to rise over the festive season. The health workers are demanding an increase in risk allowances, sufficient personal protective equipment, comprehensive medical cover, the implementation of collective bargaining agreements, and promotions.
