WHO Adds Janssen Vaccine to List of Covid-19 Emergency Tools
The World Health Organization has listed the Covid-19 vaccine Ad26.COV2.S, developed by Janssen, a pharmaceutical firm owned by Johnson & Johnson, for emergency use in all countries and as part of the Covax roll-out. The decision comes on the back of the European Medicines Agency authorisation. As of March 25, 2021, Africa has confirmed 4,133,971 cases of Covid-19 across the continent of which 110,807 proved fatal and 3,708,871 resulted in recoveries, while 5,715,151 vaccinations have been administered.
