AllAfrica Convenes Panel on Gender Equality & Sustainability

To mark International Women's Day, AllAfrica Global Media will host a virtual panel on Gender Equality for a Sustainable Future on Monday March 7 at 12OO GMT. The day is dedicated to reflections on the rights of women and their contributions the development of Africa.

For this latest edition of an annual event, AllAfrica will spotlight the challenges of climate change for women in rural areas, including farmers in sub-Saharan Africa. Participants and panellists will discuss how gender equality can help strengthen the resilience of African countries by giving women access to land - with a view to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
