High-Risk Malawi, Rwanda, Zambia Patients Given Covid-19 Lifeline

HIV/Aids patients in Malawi, Rwanda and Zambia who contract Covid-19, now have access to oral medication, with the delivery of PAXLOVID, Pfizer's Covid-19 oral treatment.

The medications are being brought to Africa and other nations by the Quick Start Consortium - a partnership with governments to bring urgently needed medicines to high-risk populations in countries that do not have easy access.

Partners involved in the Quick Start Consortium are supporting test-and-treat programmes to improve access to antiviral treatments in low- and middle-income countries.
