President Bans Malawi Govt's Foreign Travel to Aid Ailing Economy

President Lazarus Chakwera has suspended all international travel for himself and his government in what he termed as a direction his administration has taken to heal the economy. In his national address, Chakwera said fuel allowances for senior government officials have been cut by 50%.

Malawi's economy has been facing challenges including high inflation and a shortage of petrol and diesel.
