Arrests After Athlete Benjamin Kiplagat Found Dead In Kenya

Kenyan-born Benjamin Kiplagat, 34, who represented Uganda internationally in the 3,000m steeplechase at several Olympic Games and World Athletics Championships, has been found dead in Kenya.

According to the police, two suspects were captured on CCTV on December 30, 2023.

The motive for the killing appears to have been robbery, police has said.

Kiplagat who won a bronze medal at the 2012 African championships, is the fourth athlete to be killed in the area in recent years.
