Moghalu Proposes Massive Investment to Resurrect Nigeria Economy

Nigeria is experiecing profound economic turmoil resulting in diminished purchasing power, hyperinflation, devaluation of the naira currency and disruptions in the food supply chain, Professor Kingsley Moghalu told a gathering in Abuja of prominent Nigerians that included President Bola Tinubu and other top leaders.

Delivering the keynote at the 2024 Awards ceremony sponsored by the Leadership Newspaper Group, the Former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank called for "rollout of a bold, visionary, and engineered strategic project for fundamental economic rebirth."

Speaking after receiving the Leadership Person of the Year 2023 Award, Tinubu rejected the assertion that Nigeria's economy is in distress and highlighted signs of progress and opportunity.
