'Ethiopian Military Executes Dozens in Amhara Region'

Human Rights Watch has accused the Ethiopian army of killing dozens of civilians and committing other war crimes in the country's northwestern Amhara region. The incident which took place in January is said to be among the deadliest for civilians in the fighting between federal forces and the Fano militia. Laetitia Bader, Deputy Africa Director at Human Rights Watch, said since the fighting began, "civilians are once again bearing the brunt of an abusive army operating with impunity".
