Energy - AfDB Investments Have Connected Over 25 Million People
"Africa is just tired of being in the dark ... We need to take Africa out of the darkness, period." Ghanaian authorities say the project is part of plans to raise the country's use of renewable energy from the current 1% to 10% by 2030. The pioneering floating solar installation is situated on the Volta River and was set up by Ghanaian engineers.
