Dozens of Militants Killed in Joint Operations In Somalia
Somali authorities, in coordination with international partners, have killed dozens of al-Shabaab militants during joint operations in the Hiiraan and Lower Shabelle regions. According to a statement from the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), the operation dealt a "major blow" to the group, neutralizing the militants as they prepared an assault on civilians. NISA said these operations will continue as part of a sustained effort to eliminate threats to national security and stability.
