Monday night's 14th Annual Ruth First Memorial Lecture at Wits University put the notion of the coconut - simply, a black person perceived to identify more with whiteness - in the spotlight. Panashe Chigumadzi - one of two 2015 Ruth First Fellows - spoke to these so-called coconuts to reveal the shortfalls of the country's transformation.
