The report addresses the progress made and the initiatives taken in the implementation of the recommendations contained in the Secretary-General's report on the causes of conflict and promotion of durable peace and sustainable development in Africa, identifies the contraints and challenges in that regard and makes specific proposals on the measures that need to be taken to accelerate the implementation of the recommendations.
