As US officials announce the use of remotely operated drone aircraft against forces loyal to Libyan leader, Senator John McCain has arrived in Benghazi.

The Republican senator from Arizona is visiting the stronghold of Libya's Transitional National Council to meet with fighters and political leaders, and described those who have taken up arms as "my heroes".
