Order for Provisional Measures Against Libya

The African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights issued an order for provisional measures against Libya in response to an application alleging serious and widespread violations of human rights by the government.  The order called on the government to immediately refrain from any action that would result in loss of life or violation of physical integrity of persons, and to report back to the court within 15 days as to the measures taken to implement the order.
