How do Africa’s young, up-and-coming architects dream of an alternative future for the continent’s cities?

The competition Blueprints of Paradise held in the Netherlands inspired some interesting ideas. Instead of emulating the towering sky scrapers of Asia, most of the designers chose to focus on redefining the places where people meet, live and work.

We ask three of the prize winners about their visions for Africa in the 21st century.
