Kenyans for Kenya - Collecting Aid For Famine

The first consignment of food aid to famine ravaged areas of northern Kenya under the 'Kenyans for Kenya' initiative was flagged-off by Kenya Red Cross officials and members of the public at Nairobi's Uhuru Park. This first batch contains over 150 metric tonnes of food and other emergency relief items destined to areas around Turkana which have been worst hit by the prevailing famine that has already claimed lives.
