Former Vice-president Professor Gilbert Bukenya was sent to Luzira Prison after he was committed to a full trial at the anti corruption court at the high court. The latest move effectively annulled a bail that he had been granted in June when he was first charged at the magistrate's court. The IGG is prosecuting Prof. Bukenya for abuse of office and connivance to carry out fraudulent acts ahead of the Commonwealth heads of government meeting in 2007.
