French Naval Gunship Bombards Militia's Stronghold

The French Navy has now joined the fight against the Somalia militia, with one its naval gunship bombarding the town of Kuday, south of Kismayu. The Kenyan Defence Forces in collaboration with the Somali Transitional Government Forces have so far managed to take control of more towns. Meanwhile, a senior chief in Mandera town has been killed, by people suspected to be linked to Al Shabaab.
