Damning Report on Mt. Elgon Military Operation Released

Over 300 people are still missing three years after a conflict over an insurgency in Mt Elgon region. This is according to a Report released by the Human Rights Watch.The report says the Kenya security forces carried out hundreds of extrajudicial killings and torture that saw an estimated 270 people killed by the security forces during 'Operation Okoa Maisha' while 750 people were killed by the Sabaot Land Defence Force, between the year 2006 and mid 2008.The government is said to have neglected the victims who are still waiting for justice.
