CBK Raises Base Lending Rate to 16.5%

Prepare to tighten your belt even more. That seems to be the message from the central bank of Kenya after it raised its base-lending rate to 16.5 per cent up from 11 per cent. Analysts fear the move could trigger a rise in interest on loans already being service. NTV's business editor Wallace Kantai has more of this story.
