Striking Dons Agree to Talks with Govt

The Central Organization Of Trade Unions (COTU) has taken over the matter of the lecturers strike.COTU has said it will join hands with the lecturer's unions and head talks to find an amicable solution of ending the strike, which entered its second week on Wednesday.The Ministry Of Labour has invited COTU and the lecturers union UASU to a meeting to discuss the matter on Thursday, a move seen by many as a soft stand by UASU who had earlier on refused to negotiate on their demands.
