Part One:
A potential revolution is in the making in the energy sector. The government now says it wants to get rid of kerosene in the next five years. The move seeks to protect users from the health impacts of the fuel but also cut down on the emission of gases blamed for rising global temperatures. That development kicks off our brand series ahead of the crucial meeting on climate change that is due to start next week in Durban, South Africa. Here is NTV's Joe Ageyo with part one of road to Durban.

Part Two:
Some experts see floods such as those in Mandera as a sign that the global climate is changing for the worse. In Naivasha for instance, the only fresh water lake there has been receding in recent years as temperatures in the country rise. Destruction of the forests in the catchment has not made things better. But now something is about to change, as Linda Oguttu found out in part two of our series, road to Durban.
