Law Society Rejects Public Order Bill

The Uganda law society has rejected the public order bill that is currently under the committee of Legal and parliamentary affairs, for scrutiny before it's passed at the state in which it is in now. The law society president and his team argue that the bill grants the Inspector general of police powers to be the Judge as well as the prosecutor. However this afternoon the Minister of Defense, Dr. Crispus Kiyonga turned up in the committee and supported the bill in its entirety.
