Police Investigating IGG's Office

Police have questioned six officials of the Inspectorate of Government for allegedly inflating the cost of land the IGG bought in 2011 along Clement Hill Road in Kampala for constructing the Inspectorate's headquarters. Deputy police spokesperson Judith Nabakooba told NTV that the inquiries are being conduced by the Special Investigation Unit. At the centre of the probe is an alleged fraud where 2.7 billion shillings was reportedly lost in the scam.
