Teachers under their umbrella body UNATU have rejected the 15% salary increment offered to them by the Government.
UNATU Executive Secretary Teopista Birungi says Government did not involve them in the discussions to conclusively arrive at what percentage to offer the teachers.
An agreement between the teachers and the government last year resolved to involve teachers on round table discussions with the Ministry of Public service on how much should be topped up on their salary.
