From Monday 27 February to Friday 9 March 2012 thousands of participants will gather at United Nations Headquarters in New York for the annual Commission on the Status of Women. This year's commission focuses on the empowerment of rural women and their role in poverty and hunger eradication, development and current challenges.This video is an introduction to the priority theme and key messages of this year's CSW. Information, news coverage and live webcasts will be available on the CSW website.
