The Criminal Investigation Department is holding 700,000 calendars belonging to Twaweza, an initiative of a Netherlands based Non Government Organization, Humanist Institute for Cooperation, HIVOS.

Police claim that the calendars have information that can potentially incite the public.

However, Twaweza program manager Morrison Rwakakamba who spent the better part of today at the Police Special Investigative Unit under interrogation, claims no charges have yet been preferred against the organization and that the initiative is only meant to empower citizens across East Africa and that the documents had already been circulated in other Countries in the community.
