For decades Nairobi was called 'the city in the sun' owing to its excellent facilities and infrastructure, but that it appears is just but a tag restricted to the good old yesteryears. Many city residents have in recent years witnessed rising challenges even as city hall claims it has made strides in service delivery that saw it become I.S.O Certified just the other week. But some parts of Nairobi are in dire straits. The current flooding has brought to light the failed roads; garbage-collection and drainage systems that may trigger even more dangers beyond the floods which caused several deaths over the past few weeks. Violet Otindo went round various parts of the city and brings the story of the neglected Nairobi.
