Kenya: Medical Services Minister to be Censured?

On the controversy surrounding the NHIF health insurance scheme, sources within the parliamentary health committee that is probing the scandal intimate that as part of its recommendations, it may call for medical services minister Professor Anyang' Nyong'o to be censured. This comes as the owners of Clinix health facility that received the bulk of the funds for civil servants medical insurance cover ran by NHIF, were given their final formal invitation to appear before the committee Monday next week or risk stern action being taken against them. And as Willis Raburu reports, the ownership of Clinix continues to be a matter shrouded in mystery.
